When Susanna plays with the full orchestra you can usually spot her at the front left of the stage with fellow violinists.
‘I enjoy all TSO concerts, but my absolute favourites always include a Tchaikovsky symphony.’
Originally from Brisbane, Susanna has been a permanent TSO musician since 1997.
She previously worked with the Adelaide and Queensland symphony orchestras, Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Susanna recently took up sailing and can often be seen racing around Hobart’s River Derwent with her sister, former TSO violinist Alison Lazaroff-Somssich.
For two years, Susanna and Alison were joined in the TSO violin section by their other sister, Rosalin Lazaroff. ‘Without a doubt, an absolute highlight of my time with the TSO was being able to share it with my sisters’.
Susanna’s husband Greg Low was orchestra manager of the TSO for several years. Their son Charlie is a keen percussionist and drummer.
