Our organisation

We’re here to share the power of music, serve the people of Lutruwita / Tasmania and celebrate Tasmanian artistry across the world

We're driven by:

Artistry, discipline and daring

Showing the very best of what humankind can achieve through taking creative risks.

Experimentation

New concert formats, collaborations, and unexpected performance spaces.

Showcasing Tasmanian talent throughout the world

Reaching millions of listeners and viewers through our livestreams and recordings.

Training the next generation of orchestral leaders

Leading the Australian Composers School and Australian Conducting Academy.

Connecting with new audiences

Playing across Tasmania, across generations, in places orchestras don’t usually go.

Delivering and advocating for high quality musical education

Making sure every Tasmanian child experiences their orchestra while in primary school, no matter where they live.
