When Lucy plays with the full orchestra you can usually spot her at the front left of the stage with fellow violinists.

‘One of my favourite pieces to play is Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony. I first played it at National Music Camp when I was 16 and it had such a profound effect on me that it takes me back to that happy time whenever I hear it.’

About Lucy

Lucy has been playing the violin since she was four and was a member of the Australian and World youth orchestras, touring Australia and overseas.

She studied first in Adelaide and then Karlsruhe in Germany.

Lucy has a strong interest in nutrition and enjoys spending time in her thriving veggie patch in Hobart.

She also enjoys teaching music and hanging out with her young adult children.

Did you know?

Originally from Adelaide, Lucy loves the small city vibe of Hobart and the active community music scene.

She is passionate about music education and has taught for many years both privately and at the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music.
