Leave a gift in your Will

You can make a remarkable difference

Remember the moment you discovered music? When you first forgot what you were doing, because a set of chords had stopped you in your tracks? When a trumpet made your veins trill? Maybe it was when someone sat down at a piano, flexed their fingers and sent your soul soaring.

The joy of music is something every Tasmanian deserves, and by leaving a gift in your Will, you can help make that possible.

Even a small amount can make a real, lasting difference. Just 1% of your estate can help a child in regional Tasmania experience live music for the first time. You could help a young person take up an instrument themselves, or develop a lifelong love of music.

If music has changed your life, you can help it change others. You can make that your legacy.

Make your legacy make a difference

The Sculthorpe Circle

Notifying us that you have included a gift to the TSO in your Will, no matter the size or type, allows us to welcome you into an honoured group of the TSO donor family, The Sculthorpe Circle. Named in honour of the late local composer frequently revered as Tasmania’s greatest, Peter Sculthorpe, The Sculthorpe Circle provides us an opportunity to acknowledge your generosity during your lifetime.

As a member you’ll share in our achievements, get up close and personal with our musicians, and also catch a rare glimpse behind the scenes. Together we will experience the joy that only music can bring.

FAQs

As a not-for-profit organisation we rely on the generosity of our donors to ensure that we continue to contribute to the cultural landscape of Tasmania, Australia, and internationally. Bequests and endowments play a vital role in our financial plan, allowing us to nurture the next generation of musicians and music-lovers, and continue to bring our audiences innovative programming and world-class performances.

We recommend consulting with a legal professional to discuss the tax implications of leaving a bequest to the TSO.

Notifying us that you have left a bequest to the TSO allows us to show our gratitude and appreciation during your lifetime. You may choose for your bequest to remain anonymous and conversations surrounding your bequest shall remain in confidence.
