Getting there
Parking
Paid parking is available under the Federation Concert Hall in the Hotel Grand Chancellor parking lot off Macquarie Street, and paid street parking can be found on surrounding streets. Visit the Hobart City Council’s helpful parking page.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to allow time for parking.
Public transport
Catch a bus into the city – Macquarie Street and Franklin Square are popular stops – and head towards the waterfront.
We’re on the left and located inside the Hotel Grand Chancellor building.
Travelling from Launceston?
Kinetic (Redline) runs at least two daily bus services between Launceston and Hobart. Book online, or call 1300 360 000.
Hobart hotels often have a discount for Tasmanian guests. When booking for a stay or dinner, remember to mention that you’re attending the TSO.

On a cruise break?
We’re a 2-minute walk from the Macquarie Wharf Cruise Terminal along the Hobart waterfront.
Just head towards the main road along the wharf and look across the road for the Hotel Grand Chancellor building.

The Hotel Grand Chancellor and Federation Concert Hall are wheelchair accessible, with accessible entry and bathrooms available.
Accessible seating
The concert hall has designated wheelchairseating spots, which can be booked via our Box Office.

Accessible arrival
Located on the Davey Street entrance, the Hotel Grand Chancellor valet turning circle provides an accessible drop-off option for cars to stop and unload passengers, right outside the Concert Hall.
Please note that there is no lift access to the hotel lobby from the underground parking.
