The legendary Australian jazz/funk band bring their beloved tunes and new sounds for an immersive musical experience with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
In this special one-night-only concert at Wrest Point, The Cat Empire joins forces with the TSO for an electrifying collaboration. Performing some exciting new material as well as The Cat Empire classics re-invented for orchestra, this concert will draw on the vibrant worlds of Afro-Cuban, Seychellois Kreol, Brazilian and flamenco music combined with the band’s unique sense of musical style. Joining the band onstage are world-class flamenco artists Richard Tedesco, Johnny Tedesco and Chantelle Cano.
With decades of sold out worldwide shows, awards and platinum records, The Cat Empire are entering their golden era. Expect the band’s signature infectious groove and vibrancy; you’ll shimmy, shake and sing your way through this set.
