About Nick
Nick has been Managing Director of a boutique national consulting company, Stenning & Associates, since 2000. Prior to joining Stenning & Associates, Nick worked for 14 years in the Tasmanian State Government in a variety of research and senior positions, including a period as Executive Officer in the office of the Tasmanian Deputy Premier.
Nick graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Economics Degree with Honours. Since then, he has accumulated 40 years’ experience in public policy issues at both State and national level. He specialises in microeconomic and regulatory reform, industry workforce development and the national Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
Nick has non-executive experience in the not-for-profit sector, having recently retired from the Crimestopper’s Tasmania Board after 11 years as a director and eight years as chair of its Governance and Planning Committee.
Nick is a passionate born and bred Tasmanian and is married with 4 children. He enjoys golf, walking and travelling and has a keen interest in historic heritage and genealogy.
