Living With Devils – Community Concert
Conducted by Gregory Stephens.
Come with the family, get your friends together or bring the grandparents, whoever is in your pack of devils!
Watch the Living With Devils film on a big screen while the orchestra play the soundtrack live right in front of you.
Filmmaker Simon Plowright spent a year in the northwest of Tasmania living with the iconic but endangered Tasmanian Devil. The documentary, narrated by Simon Plowright, follows a family of devils, one of the last healthy groups in a population that has been devastated by a rare mouth cancer. Simon is hugely passionate about bringing awareness to the disease that’s depleting the often misunderstood animal that has become an emblem of our state. But in the crisis, there is a glimmer of hope!
Living With Devils features a stunning score by Maria Grenfell performed by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and was made by the team behind hit ABC documentary Quoll Farm.
With interactive displays in the foyer for kids to explore (and adults too), it’s going to be a devilishly good day out.
