When Matthew plays with the full orchestra you can usually spot him at the front right of the stage with fellow double bass musicians.

About Matthew

Matthew McGrath is from Denver, Colorado and moved to Tasmania in 2016.

He started learning the bass at age 14 and completed an undergraduate degree at Indiana University and a masters degree at Carnegie Mellon University.

Matthew has performed with many orchestras throughout the US, Australia and New Zealand.

Outside of work he most enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
