Weekend at Woolmers: Beethoven & Fauré
Beethoven String Trio in C minor, Op 9, No 3
Fauré Piano Quartet No 1 in C minor, Op 15
Andrea Lam on piano, Jennifer Owen on violin, Anna Larsen Roach on viola, and Nicholas McManus on cello.
Wrapping up a full Woolmers weekend with two masters of emotive chamber music.
Chamber music finds its history in the homes and palaces of Europe – gatherings of friends who believed music is one of the most special ways to pass the time. Join us as we continue this tradition in the gallery of Woolmers Estate. The world heritage-listed property is our first choice of venue that carries the essence of a private concert experience.
Four musicians, who would love to greet you after this intimate event, will play a program featuring Beethoven and Fauré. The former work comes from a set of three string trios Beethoven wrote as he elevated this artform. Australian pianist Andrea Lam comes to the fore in Fauré’s emotive piano quartet.
