
About Jessie
New Zealand Australian composer Jessie Leov’s diverse practice traverses classical and popular music.
She was Composer-in-Residence for the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra National Youth Orchestra in 2024 and was one of four composers selected to attend the Edward T. Cone Composition Institute at Princeton University.
Her orchestral work, Speculations on a Rainbow, was performed by the New Jersey Symphony and recorded by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Her work outside in was premiered and recorded by Flinders Quartet in Melbourne, in collaboration with the Hush Foundation as part of the 2025 Emerge Composer Development Program.
Jessie is one of four talented composers selected for the 2026-27 Australian Composers School cohort.
