Livestream Event | Beethoven’s Violin Concerto

Saturday 28 Nov 2026 7:30pm
The Makers Technology and Innovation Hub, Parklands

Beethoven Violin Concerto in D, Op 61
Mendelssohn Symphony No 3 in A minor, Op 56 ‘Scottish’

Austrian violinist Leonhard Baumgartner won the Eurovision Young Musicians Competition in 2024 and now he’s bringing his talent to Tassie.

Leonhard will play a Beethoven concerto that’s notoriously difficult, but we think he can handle it.

In collaboration with the University of Tasmania’s Burnie campus, we’re bringing you a series of livestreamed concerts. It’s an accessible, relaxed way to experience the orchestra.

Beethoven’s Violin Concerto is part of our Federation Concert Hall Series – our bread and butter concerts, with world-famous soloists, era-defining classics and contemporary masterpieces.
