Help secure the future of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra by leaving a gift in your will. As little as 1% of your estate can go a long way in ensuring the legacy of Tasmania’s Orchestra.
You will join a group of like-minded individuals who are committed to ensuring the TSO will continue to bring joy to audiences for many years into the future.
From our award-winning learning and engagement programs for educators, students and emerging talent, to the music you see on stage, the TSO plays a vital role in the wider Tasmanian community.
No matter what size, all gifts make a difference and allow us to bring music to the lives of more Tasmanians.
Your gift will ensure you leave a legacy of music for generations to come. Gifts in wills and endowments are managed by the TSO Foundation.
Leaving a gift in your Will to the TSO is a powerful statement. From the outstanding concerts you see onstage to the vitally important community and educational activities we undertake across Tasmania, just 1% of your estate can help us continue to share the experiences you love with generations to come.
Gifts in Wills and endowments are managed through the TSO Foundation.
Notifying us that you have included a gift to the TSO in your will, no matter the size or type, allows us to welcome you into an honoured group of the TSO donor family, The Sculthorpe Circle. Named in honour of the late local composer frequently revered as Tasmania’s greatest, Peter Sculthorpe, The Sculthorpe Circle provides us an opportunity to acknowledge your generosity during your lifetime.
As a member you’ll share in our achievements, get up close and personal with our musicians, and also catch a rare glimpse behind the scenes. Together we will experience the joy that only music can bring.

If you are considering leaving a gift to the TSO in your will we would love to hear from you about the areas you are most passionate, to ensure that your gift has the greatest impact. Every contribution is deeply appreciated, no matter the size, and conversations surrounding your bequest shall remain in confidence.
Please contact Sarah Morrisby, Director of Philanthropy, MorrisbyS@tso.com.au, or use the form below and we will get in touch with you.
We recommend that you notify your loved ones of your intention to leave a bequest to the TSO, in addition to seeking advice from a legal professional.
There are several ways you can leave a Bequest to the TSO, however there are three which are most common:
• Residuary Bequest
This is where you leave the remainder of your estate to the TSO once all your loved ones have been taken care of.
• Specific Bequest
You may wish to leave a specific amount of money, or an asset such as property or shares, to the TSO in your will.
• Percentage Bequest
You can choose to leave a percentage of your entire estate to the TSO, or a percentage of the residue of the estate once loved ones have been remembered.
