Voices en Masse 2025 Community Choir
ABOUT
Voices en Masse is back in 2025! Also returning is Simon Halsey, world-renowned choral director. You’ll learn, rehearse and perform choral classics with Simon Halsey, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and TSO Chorus as well as fellow singers from around Australia.
With the orchestra, chorus and soloists on stage and you, the community choir, in the stalls, the hall will be enveloped with voice and music – it’s pure surround sound.
Whether you're a shower singer or a choir veteran, we invite you to lend your voice to the collective and perform with the pros.
Registration for Voices en Masse 2025 is $230 per person. This includes three rehearsals at Federation Concert Hall with Simon Halsey, the Voices en Masse performance day, light refreshments and a digital and hardcopy score.

REHEARSALS
Thursday 9 Oct, 6.30pm – 9.30pm: Piano rehearsal with Simon Halsey
Friday 10 Oct, 6pm – 10pm: Rehearsal with TSO and Simon Halsey
Saturday 11 Oct, 9.30am – 1pm (day of performance): Rehearsal with TSO and Simon Halsey

COST
Registration for Voices en Masse 2025 is $230 per person.
This includes three rehearsals with Simon Halsey, the Voices en Masse performance day, coffee and tea, plus a digital and hardcopy version of the scores.
Hard copy will be available for collection from the TSO Box Office from July 1, or available to be mailed to you for $11.30 inc GST.

OPEN TO ALL
Voices en Masse is a chance to add your voice to the collective and sing to foster community, joy and unity. We think all singers should have the opportunity to experience this. If you have a passion for singing and a desire to be part of something bigger, we welcome you!
There are no auditions required, but please take note of the following before signing up;
- You must be over 16 years of age to register. If you are under the age of 18 you must have a guardian accompany you.
- The ability to follow a music score and a basic understanding of musical terms will be an advantage however is not essential.
- We strongly encourage you to practice and prepare ahead of the first rehearsal to get the most out of your experience! Links to recommended learning tools to help you practice at home will be made available to you when you register.
- Knowledge of your voice type ie soprano, alto, tenor, bass is also an advantage.
