Community Rehearsal
Our annual Community Rehearsal has become an event that many of our wider musician community look forward to.
We welcome lounge room musicians, part-time players, retired professionals and community orchestra players to play side-by-side with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
It’s a chance to connect with a collective of fellow musicians from around the state, learn from the players of the TSO and our Chief Conductor Eivind Aadland, all culminating in a performance as one.

Successful applicants will be informed and sent their digital music parts.

2 – The music
You’ll be rehearsing and playing two pieces of music.
3 – Sectionals
Attend rehearsals for your section. Sectionals are your chance to work on specific challenges in your music parts and tap into the expertise of TSO Section Principals and musician ambassadors.
4 – Come together
Or attend the all-sections rehearsal. Meet players from the other sections and further refine your technique and playing as an orchestra to get ready for…
5 – The main event!
This is our final community rehearsal. You'll have the chance to invite your friends and family to see the performance.
