The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools in limited and carefully governed ways to support its work.
TSO may use AI to:
- Improve administrative efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.
- Analyse anonymised data to better understand audiences and improve access.
- Assist with first drafts, editing, formatting, and accessibility of written materials.
TSO does not use AI to:
- Replace musicians, composers, conductors, educators, or creative professionals.
- Generate original music or artistic content for performance.
- Produce photo or video imagery
- Automate artistic or editorial decision-making.
All AI-assisted work at TSO:
- Is overseen our people.
- Is reviewed for accuracy, integrity, and alignment with our values.
- Respects privacy, intellectual property, and artist livelihoods.
Our commitment is simple: AI supports our people — it does not replace them.
At TSO, human artistry, integrity, and connection remain at the heart of everything we do.
