TSO Chorus at St John’s
Repertoire includes the 1st and 4th movements from Brahms’ Requiem, choral gems ‘My Soul, There is a Country’ from Sir Hubert Parry and ‘Cantique De Jean Racine’ from Fauré. Complemented with organ repertoire performed by Calvin Bowman.
With the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra Chorus, organist Calvin Bowman and Chorusmaster Warren Trevelyan-Jones.
There aren’t many venues better suited to singing than a church.
Under the stunning arches of St John’s Church, the TSO Chorus accompanied by organist Calvin Bowman, will perform a selection of vocal works. The soaring voices of the chorus will fill this historic church, the oldest in the city of Launceston. The high ceilings and stone walls make for a breathtaking acoustic setting.
Join us for a moving evening that connects music, architecture, and emotion.
