Getting There

Public Transport

Catch a bus into the city – Macquarie Street and Franklin Square are popular stops – and head towards the waterfront. We’re on the left in the Hotel Grand Chancellor building.

Parking

Paid parking is available under the Federation Concert Hall in the Hotel Grand Chancellor parking lot, and paid street parking can be found on surrounding streets. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to allow time for securing a park.

We’re a 2-minute walk from the Macquarie Wharf Cruise Terminal along the Hobart waterfront. Just head towards the main road along the wharf and look across the road for the Hotel Grand Chancellor building.

Accessible Parking & Drop-offs

Located on the Davey Street entrance, the Hotel Grand Chancellor valet turning circle provides an accessible drop-off option for cars to stop and unload passengers, right outside the Concert Hall.

Accessible parking and lifts are available in the Hotel's paid parking located beneath the Federation Concert Hall and accessed from the Macquarie Street side of the building. 

Assistive Listening

There's lots to do ahead of a concert at Federation Concert Hall!

  • Visit the TSO Box Office for ticket collection, open 2 hours prior to all concerts.
  • Have a drink in The Atrium foyer bar, outside the concert doors.
  • Wine and dine at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the waterfront precinct.
  • Visit our cultural neighbours, Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, Maritime Museum of Tasmania or the galleries along the wharf-side of Evans Street.
  • Get 5% off your favourite scoop at Van Diemen’s Land Creamery – valid 2-hours pre and post-concert with any TSO concert ticket. Located across the road on the wharves.
