TSO Launches TSO Publishing

7 February 2025.

Our colleagues from across Australia’s state orchestras met in Hobart in late January for a series of planning and networking events.

It was a pleasure to host the CEOs and directors of artistic planning here at the TSO at what is a challenging but exciting time for the industry.

Thanks to the aspirations of the National Cultural Policy, coupled with new leadership at ABC and the general will and commitment of Australia’s orchestras, the focus on Australian music is intensifying.

The state orchestras are committing to an MOU to work more closely on the commissioning, performance, distribution and documentation of Australian music.

To that end, while our colleagues were in town, we were thrilled to share with them the official relaunch our music publishing arm, TSO Publishing.

Through TSO Publishing, musicians, orchestras, community ensembles and schools around the world can purchase or hire sheet music written by the composers we represent, all of whom have a connection to Tasmania and the TSO.

TSO Publishing, previously known as TSO House, is the place to go for those looking for music scores inspired by Lutruwita / Tasmania.

Our artists include well known Tasmanian composers Jabra Latham (pictured above), Maria Grenfell and Don Kay (both pictured R), as well as interstate artists including Holly Harrison, Georgia Scott and Larry Sitski.
