Applications open July 5 2019

Established in memory of Aviva Orgad, mother of TSO Principal Trumpet Yoram Levy, the Aviva Scholarship for Orchestral Brass will commence in 2020.

Much loved by her family and friends, this scholarship represents Aviva’s love of people, music, and contribution to her community.

One scholarship will be awarded each year to a student aged 21 and under, residing in Tasmania, who has attained the level of AMEB Grade 6 and above on one of the following instruments: horn, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone or tuba.

The successful applicant will receive ten lessons from the applicable TSO tutor for their instrument. The lessons are intended as an enrichment opportunity in addition to the student’s musical studies, not as a replacement.

Participating tutors include Greg Stephens horn, Yoram Levy trumpet, David Robins trombone, Mitchell Nissen bass trombone and Tim Jones tuba.

The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 27 September, 2019. All applicants are required to apply via the application form BELOW.
