Harvey Lennon, Chair
Harvey Lennon is Chief Executive of Hobart City Mission, a role he has held since late 2021, and a servicing Officer in the Australian Army.
Immediately prior to taking up his current role, Harvey was Senior Advisor to the Minister for Finance (Tasmanian Government). He previously held Executive roles with the The Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania (RACT) Limited for 20 years including nine years as Group Chief Executive. During that time he held a number of related board positions including as director of RACT Travel Pty Ltd, RACT Insurance Pty Ltd, the Australian Automobile Association Limited, Australian Motoring Services Pty Ltd and the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania (TICT). Harvey also has non-executive experience in the not-for-profit sector with 12 years on the Board of Colony 47, including three as Chair.
Prior to joining the RACT, Harvey worked in the Tasmania State Department of Treasury and Finance, where he held a range of senior positions. Harvey has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Tasmania, is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has an Advanced Diploma of Tourism.
Harvey is passionate about Tasmania and opportunities to improve life for the people of our State. He is married with five children and 1 grandchild. For relaxation, Harvey enjoys travelling, running and listening to music.
