75th ANNIVERSARY
GALA & HIGH TEA

Sunday 16 April
1:15pm
Woolmers Estate, Longford

Celebrate the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s Diamond Jubilee with a screening of our 75th-Anniversary Gala Concert. The festivities commence with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival followed by a live, 15-minute In-Conversation between Robert Gibson and a small panel of musicians from the orchestra. A screening of the 75th-Anniversary Gala Concert follows, after which a sumptuous High Tea is served in the on-site restaurant, The Eleanor, and the adjacent Rose Garden.

The dazzling program – under the direction of Chief Conductor Eivind Aadland – consists of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1 in B-flat minor with soloist Lukáš Vondráček, Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances and Shostakovich’s Festive Overture. This is an afternoon of insights, indulgence and joyous music. Too good to miss!
