OBSCURA IV

The Tango Nuevo (New Tango) is rhythmic, sensuous and captivating. Drawing upon a whole range of musical styles and genres – old-fashioned tango, jazz, folk styles and modernism – Tango Nuevo was shaped by Argentinean legend Astor Piazzolla. His music is front and centre in this concert, which includes Libertango, Oblivion and ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.

Accordionist James Crabb joins the TSO Strings to bring just the right dash of authentic colour.
