Dinosaur Steps is a collaborative performance product developed by the TSO and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) in 2018/2019.
TSO commissioned young Tasmanian composer Thomas Misson to work in consultation with TMAG’s Children’s Reference Panel to create a unique, multi-arts performance work for inclusion in the TMAG Children’s Festival in April 2019.
Four performances took place in the Royal Society Room on Wednesday 17 April and featured animation created from submitted children’s artwork, inspired by the TMAG Children’s Festival theme for 2019, EARTHTIME!
Ten TSO musicians were joined in the performances by conductor Gregory Stephens, presenter and narrator Madeleine Dyer and visual artist “VJ” Cary Littleford.
Mentoring for Madeleine Dyer was provided by Mini TSO and Family Classics presenter, Jane Longhurst.
