An all French programme of exceptional balance between compositional technique and unbridled passion

Saint-Saëns’ Piano Quartet in E major No. 1 languished for almost 140 years after its composition in 1853. After finding its way from Saint-Saëns to varying libraries it was finally published in 1992. A tribute to the masters Saint-Saëns cherished, we have combined it with Fauré’s superlative first piano quartet. Striking an exceptional balance between compositional technique and unbridled passion this all French programme is a must.
