Bangor our new TSO wine partner

6 August 2025.

We're proud to announce a new wine partnership with multi award-winning Bangor Vineyard at Dunalley.

Run by Tasmania’s sixth-generation Dunbabin family, Bangor is celebrated for its trophy-winning wines as well as its cellar door and restaurant overlooking Boomer Bay.

‘Through this partnership our vision is to blend exceptional wines and music to create unique experiences for our audiences,’ our CEO Caroline Sharpen says.

Wine and music partnership is a ‘beautiful harmony'

For Bangor owners Vanessa and Matt Dunbabin, the partnership is a ‘beautiful harmony of two Tasmanian passions – music and wine’.

‘Our family has a proud connection to music. Matt sang in the Rosny Children’s Choir, I played in the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra, and now our own children perform with the TYO,’ Vanessa says.

‘Our eldest son, Henry, is a budding composer currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.’

As the TSO’s official wine partner, the vineyard will help to support the orchestra’s activities over the coming 12 months, including events, community visits and regional performances.

Vanessa says she and Matt and their children have been attending TSO concerts for years.

‘From the Family Concert Series we loved when our children were little, to the world-class performances with internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors we enjoy together as a family today,’ she says.

‘We’re thrilled to support such an iconic institution that has brought joy to audiences across the state for over 75 years.’
