Join the TSO for this special commemorative black-tie event in which we re-create the program of the inaugural concert of 25 May 1948. On that occasion, Hobart City Hall was filled to capacity as Tasmanians flocked to support their new orchestra.

In 2008, the concert takes place in Federation Concert Hall but the program remains the same. It brings together Weber's masterly overture to his grand opera Euryanthe, Grieg's beloved piano concerto and Beethoven's mighty Symphony No.5.
