Mozart’s Coronation Mass

7:30pm Saturday 25 May 2013 | Federation Concert Hall

SCHUMANN Symphony No 4

MOZART Exsultate, jubilate

MOZART Mass in C major, Coronation

Music fit for a king! Legend has it that Mozart’s Coronation Mass was performed at the coronation of Habsburg emperor Francis II. A work where choir, orchestra and soloists come together in perfect harmony, the Coronation Mass contains some of Mozart’s most ravishing music. Exsultate, jubilate is a Mozart show-stopper for soprano and orchestra while Schumann’s Symphony No 4 is a powerful and mercurial work by one of music’s great romantics.
