Marko Letonja teams up with didjeridu virtuoso William Barton for Ross Edwards’ Tyalgum Mantras, a trance-like meditation performed here in a special arrangement for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Stravinsky’s colourful Firebird Suite and Dvořák’s Symphony No 8 draw from Russian and Bohemian folk traditions while at the same time upholding the distinctive sound worlds of their respective composers. As always at our season-opener concerts, complimentary sparkling wine will be served at interval. Join us!
