HUMPERDINCK Hansel and Gretel - Prelude

BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No 5, Emperor

GRIEG Symphony in C minor

Pianist Marc-André Hamelin has been hailed ‘a one-of-a-kind concert artist’ by the Los Angeles Times. Hear him perform Beethoven’s sublime Emperor Concerto. Norwegian conductor Eivind Aadland is the ideal interpreter for the rarely heard Symphony in C minor by fellow countryman Edvard Grieg. Maestro Aadland will also bring his unique insights to the Prelude to Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, a miniature masterpiece which distils all the lilting melodies of this beloved opera into an enthralling, bite-size morsel.
