The Friends of the TSO (FOTSO) is a dedicated group of TSO supporters, which represents music lovers from all over Tasmania and beyond. Our shared interest is in supporting the development of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and ensuring its continuing role in bringing live professional orchestral music to the Tasmanian public as well as to wider national and international audiences. When you join the Friends of the TSO, you’ll be playing an important role in the development of the orchestra. You’ll have the opportunity to meet TSO musicians and guest artists, and people like you who share a passion for music.
Membership has many privileges, including:

Invitations to special receptions with players and guest artists;


Invitations to special concerts;


The opportunity to host and attend musical events;


Knowing that you’ll be helping to raise funds for special projects and activities;

Tempi, the Friends’ newsletter;


The opportunity to attend up to six open rehearsals per year.

Membership is available to individuals and couples (sharing a newsletter delivered to the same address), and special discounts are available for pensioners and students.
